Sharky Transportation, Inc. was founded in October 2006 by James Garner, who recognized a growing need for fast, dependable delivery services in the oil and gas industry. While working in the field, James had a friend use his personal truck to urgently deliver a part to a him—revealing a bigger opportunity. That simple moment sparked what would become Sharky Transportation: a company built on responsiveness, integrity, and customer-first service.

Meet the Founder
James is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. His background as a Calallen, Alvin College, and Islander baseball player shaped his discipline, leadership, and commitment to teamwork—values that now guide the business every day.

James is a husband to Christin and father of five, deeply committed to faith, family, and the continued growth of Sharky Transportation. He prides himself on exceptional customer service and believes in treating his employees like family. This culture of loyalty and respect is a foundation of the company’s success.
